DENIM, BUSINESS, FASHION AND CO.

BLUEZONE IS IT !

 CONFIRMING, INTERNATIONAL, EXCITING !

Are you in need of a denim-fair to see trends & novelty fabrications at an earlier time in the season ? On the 30 &31 August, we had a crush on Bluezone – the international denim tradefair. Not only the amazing, half industrial, half modern design architecture of the new locations gave a true premium touch to the show, we were also amazed by the quality of the international exhibitors, visitors, buyers, bloggers and the shows services.

The MFS / BLUEZONE management had added a new hall named CATALYZER ( Hall #6 ), which featured many international exhibitors totally new to the show…. This created an amazing « indigo blue-creative pool » where in addition to the amazing fabrics from CANDIANI, BERTO, ROYO, ITV and many more… ARVIND had installed a wooden shuttleloom and their entirely « made  by hand » denim capsule. CONE MILLS USA showcased their amazing heritage line, SWIFT showed their novelty red-casts, Japans NIHON MENPU presented amazing artisan fabrications, BLAUMANN showed their range of extremely fine selvage denims, BRUT clothing from Paris, had brought incredible vintage archives with fabulous & inspiring french workwear uniforms ( this booth would ned half a day on its own….). Paris based « Monsieur-T. » denim design studio welcomed visitors with consulting services for denim. And last but not least Thomas Stege Bojer, from the blog DENIMHUNTERS presented his book « Blue Blooded »… What an inspiring and rare concentration of « denim-talents » it was, fabric, product, trends, all in one hall !

The ALL STAR MILLS ( Hall #7 ), located in the iconic & intial Zenithhalle, had turned into a quite vibrant working platform where fabric innovation from mills such as ÇALIK, CAPPIO and many more teamed up with mills and manufacturers from across the world. A large space was given to the trendzone where sartorial and rugged denims showed the future of the industry. KASSIM denim had brought a pair of jeans, made of what is probably worlds heaviest jeans…. Believe it or not, a 38oz denim !

A Seminar programm and trend-presentaions were hold here. It was home of the HIGHTEX awards given to the most relevant projects, featuring denim and other high-tech fabrics. This hall was always incredibly crowded.

« We were aware of the great challenge we had taken on with KEYHOUSE and CATALYZER as new area concepts. So it is all the more satisfying to see how positively and enthusiastically both exhibitors and visitors are reacting to this move. Our concept was not just accepted, it was immediately understood and obviously expected. »

Sebastian Klinder, Managing Director at MUNICH FABRIC START.

And the best of it all…. The first night featured a great outdoor party, where the entire industry met and had fun & drinks in almost high-summer conditions.
